All day yesterday Jayne had a fever. Last night erik and I took her temp twice and it was over 103. We gave her tylenol before she went to bed and prayed her fever would break. I checked her through out the night and she was always burning up. I took her temp again at 5am and it was 104.4. I woke up erik and said, I think we should take her to the er. The only reason I was so freaked out is because she has no other symptoms other than high fever. And she looked awful! Her face was all red, her lips were white, her eyes were red and glossy. So we called Mike and Gena and woke them up and asked if we could drop of Taylor and let her sleep there. We dropped her off sleeping at their house and went to the er. The doctor was also a little worried that she wasn't having any other symptoms so he ordered some tests. First was the urine check for an uti. I won't even tell you what they had to do or how horrible it was, I almost fainted and had to step out of the room. Then they ordered x-rays of her chest. And did an oral swap of her mouth then let her rest for a bit. An hour later the doctor said that she had type B influenza
And prescribed her an antibiotic. So two hours later we were finally able to leave the er. On the way to Mike and Gena's house to pick up Taylor Gena texted me, how is taylor? and then mike texted erik and said, Jayne's still asleep.. and Erik and I looked at each other and I asked erik do they even know what child they have? LOL!! SOOO SOOO FUNNY! Poor mike and gena, we totally woke them up and they thought they had Jayne the whole time sleeping in their spare room and it was Taylor! We all laughed so hard about it! Hilarious! So anyway, Jayne is doing better, still has a fever so pray for her my friends! And also I had to go to the doc because of my sore throat and no voice. I was diagnosed as cold/throat virus that isn't treatable. And.. Taylor has a doc apt today because she has pink eye! And Erik is still coughing! The Dungan's are falling apart LOL!
